My name is Will Kelly, and I’m a principal writer and content strategist based in Northern Virginia. I’ve spent my career in content creation, most recently focusing on DevOps and cloud-based solutions.
As a freelance writer and content strategist, I’ve had the opportunity to work with various companies in various capacities, from full-time to part-time freelancing. I’ve written about the cloud and DevOps for technology publications like TechTarget and InfoWorld, covering DevOps transformation, toolchain security, and cloud migration practices.
Additionally, I’ve written about enterprise mobility, BYOD, mobile security, and the cloud for IBM Mobile Business Insights, Samsung Business Insights, TechBeacon, and CNET TechRepublic.
In my most recent role as a senior product marketing Manager for an Edge Computing startup, I focused on developing messaging, positioning, and content strategies for a new corporate go-to-market strategy. I also contributed to competitive intelligence research activities and managed a third-party PR agency through all parts of the case study development process.
Before that, as a technical marketing Manager for a container security startup, I helped develop the company’s first white papers and thought leadership content to support the company’s positions on open-source software, DevOps, DevSecOps, and software supply chain security. I also collaborated with corporate sales and technical leadership to develop stories and content that differentiated their offerings and served as an internal resource to translate commercial DevOps and container security stories into public sector stories.
I’ve gained extensive experience working with subject matter experts and cultivating relationships with vendors and agency PR contacts throughout my career. My technical curiosity has allowed me to feel comfortable learning about new technologies, and my background in content strategy has enabled me to deliver effective solutions that target buyers and help move deals forward.
